ECPD is Investigating a homicide on San Pablo Avenue near Potrero Avenue. 
PRESS RELEASE March 31st, 2019.
At 11:18 pm the El Cerrito Police and Fire Departments responded to a report of a man down on the sidewalk near 11319 San Pablo Avenue. When officers arrived they discovered an unconscious transient man lying on the sidewalk. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. The man had wounds on his body and ECPD detectives are investigating his death as a homicide. There is no known suspect at this time. The identity of the victim will be confirmed by the Coroner and released after the family has been notified.
