* WHAT...Snow expected above 8500 feet. Total snow accumulations of 5 to 10 inches expected. Locally higher amounts up to 14 inches will occur on south facing slopes above 10000 feet.

* WHERE...Northwest San Juan Mountains and Southwest San Juan Mountains.

* WHEN...From 9 PM this evening to 9 PM MDT Sunday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Travel could be very difficult. A detailed map of the snowfall can be found at: www.weather.gov/gjt/winter.

* AFFECTED AREAS: NORTHWESTERN SAN JUAN MOUNTAINS ... SOUTHWEST SAN JUAN MOUNTAINS
