Press Release
Details: On Friday March 29, 2019, at 12:08 am, Corcoran Police attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a gray Chevy Malibu after observing an unusual driving pattern, as well as several moving violations. The suspect vehicle failed to yield for the traffic stop and attempted to evade officers while driving at high speeds, running stops signs and committing other Vehicle Code violations.
The vehicle became disabled in the 2000 block of Charles Avenue where the occupants fled the vehicle on foot. Officers subsequently searched the vehicle and located a loaded Uzi assault rifle.

Salas was booked into the Kings County Jail on charges of Felony Evading, Being a Gang Member In Possession of a Loaded Firearm and Conspiracy to commit a Felony. Salas is being held on $120,000 bail.
In addition to the above charges, the juvenile was booked into the Kings County Juvenile Center on charges of being a convicted Felon in Possession of a Firearm and an outstanding Kings County Warrant.
