SUSPECT: Alfonso Pacheco, 53-years-old, transient
SUMMARY:
On Thursday, March 28, 2019 at 9:18 a.m. deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department responded to a call regarding an attempt robbery. The victim reported he was approached outside the business by the suspect who demanded money. When the victim refused, the suspect chased him around the parking lot. The suspect returned to the victim’s pick-up truck and began vandalizing it and taking items from the truck bed. When the victim attempted to retrieve his property, the suspect armed himself with a rock, but eventually ran away. When deputies arrived, they found the suspect, identified as Alfonso Pacheco, hiding behind the business and placed him under arrest. Pacheco was booked at the West Valley Detention Center.
