Escapee From State Department Of Corrections Captured By SHERIFF VICTOR HILL’S Elite VICE Squad!
Department of Corrections Inmate Deandre Ruffin escaped from work detail today at Rum Creek park. Inmates were instructed to take a short break to get a drink of water. While on break Ruffin took flight from his detail. Ruffin ran through the “bone yard” across Hwy 138 into Ravens Run.
When made aware of the escape, members of Sheriff Victor Hill’s elite Vice Squad who were nearby joined in on the manhunt and captured the escapee on Saybrook Trail.
When asked why he escaped his work detail, Ruffin stated he had 20 years to serve and had nothing to lose. Because he was in the custody of the local state prison, Ruffain “escaped” a stay at Georgia’s toughest para- military jail also known as the “Hill-ton”. However, Ruffain was shipped back to the Jackson facility of the Department of Corrections where he will soon learn he did have something to loose, and that was more time from his freedom.
