Ontario Police are investigating a shooting that led to the death of an 18 year old Ontario man in the area of Rosewood Court and Del Norte Avenue, in the City of Ontario.
Police were called to the scene of the shooting early this morning at approximately 12:17 AM. Upon arrival, they discovered an adult male victim lying on the sidewalk with an apparent gunshot wound. The Ontario Fire Department arrived on scene, treated and immediately transported the victim to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries and died.
Information received from witnesses indicate an unknown vehicle was seen leaving the area. Investigators are still trying to determine a motive for the shooting.
The victim’s identity will not be released until notification from the San Bernardino County Coroner’s office is complete.
