The Department of Recreation & Cultural Affairs is now accepting applications for the 2019 Summer Playground Camp. Applicants must be River Edge residents who are age fifteen by September 1st, 2019.

The 2019 Summer Playground Camp will commence on Monday, July 1st. The program will continue Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 12:00noon until Friday, August 2nd.
***Please note that a mandatory 2-day training session will be held on Wednesday, June 26th & Thursday, June 27th at 9:00am to 12noon. All Playground Camp employees must attend.
As a seasonal employee, you must be available for the five weeks of the Playground Program. Vacation time and days off are not allowed during these five-weeks. If you have a planned vacation, college orientation, or school-related camp it must be disclosed at the time of application. If not disclosed at the time of application there will be no exceptions to this rule.
The number of open positions for new counselors will be based on returning seasonal employees and the number of campers registered for the playground program. In person interviews will be held for all applicants in the evening in mid-to late May. You will be notified by email of the time and location for your interview.
