#013 Under the influence
Officer Borzone and FTO Madsen investigated a report of a subject under the influence of methamphetamine.  The 29 year old man was acting erratically and family members felt he had been using drugs.  He was ultimately arrested and booked at Santa Rita.

#001 Stolen Vehicle/Possession of Drugs Arrests
While conducting a security check at the Charter Square shopping center, Officer Cavaz located an occupied stolen vehicle. Three subjects were taken into custody and later indicate that there may be some fentanyl in the vehicle.  Fremont Fire responded to assist with the retrieval and packaging of the suspected substance. In the end, the substance could not be identified and no officers were exposed. A 44 year old man, a 57 year old man and a 36 year old female were arrested for possession of drugs, stolen vehicle, and several other charges.

#043 DUI Arrest
A security guard working near Grimmer/Bay saw a man trying to park his car and colliding with other parked cars in the process. The male driver was contacted by Officer Hancock and FTO Latimer.  He was determined to be under the influence. The man was arrested for DUI.

#044 Obstructing/Resisting
K9 Officer Taylor responded to a disturbance involving a man at the 7-11 store on Niles Blvd.  He arrives and attempts to detain the man. The man flees on foot and a very short foot pursuit ensues. The man is caught and he is arrested for obstructing/resisting and booked into jail.

#002 DUI Arrest
Officer Carter responds to Fremont/Automall Pkwy for a male passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle at the intersection. The man is contacted and arrested for DUI.

#003 Promiscuous Shooting
Officers respond to the parking lot of 6000 Stevenson Blvd for a promiscuous shooting call. The reporting party, calling from a nearby restaurant, hears several subjects fighting in the parking lot and then several reports of shots fired. Officer Carter is the first on scene and sees a vehicle fleeing from the parking lot. He attempts to stop the vehicle but it immediately takes off. Officer Carter pursues the vehicle about a mile before they pull over. A high-risk stop is conducted and a 20 year old man and a juvenile are taken into custody without incident. Multiple shell casings are found in the vehicle. No victims are located at the original scene. During an interview the juvenile confesses that he shot several rounds in the air during a confrontation with other subjects. He also kindly points out on a map where he discarded the firearm during the pursuit. Officers locate the revolver located on Stewart Ave, which is found to be stolen out of Santa Clara. The 19 year old man, East Palo Alto resident, is booked for felony evading and felony child endangerment.  The juvenile was booked on charges of possession of a firearm and narcotics, possession of a controlled substance, negligent discharge of a firearm, minor in possession of a firearm, and carrying a loaded firearm are being forwarded to the Alameda County Juvenile Probation Department.

#008 Missing Person
A care facility on Hastings Street, called to report an 84 year old male could not be located within the facility.  CSO Goralczyk investigated while other personnel searched the surrounding neighborhoods.  The missing person was located in the 3600 block of Mowry Ave.

#010 Auto Burglary
An auto burglary occurred between 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. in the 4700 block of Portola Dr. The loss was various construction tools.

#031 DUI Arrest
Dispatch received a call regarding a vehicle which could not maintain lanes in the area of Thornton Ave/San Pedro Drive. The reporting party advised that the vehicle subsequently pulled into a liquor store in the area. Officer Trzewieczynski arrived on scene quickly and made contact with the 54 year old driver, who had physical signs of being impaired. He was arrested for driving while under the influence. Case investigated by Officer L. Tran.

#004 Possession of Marijuana with the Intent to Sell
Officers Degenstein and Macciola were dispatched to the 4500 block of Serra Avenue to a report of a suspicious vehicle. A resident returning home noticed a strange vehicle across the street and a subject ducking down away from view. Officers arrived on scene and contacted the men inside the vehicle.   A search revealed evidence indicative of drug sales. A 21 year old man was arrested for possession of marijuana with intent to sell along with a probation violation. The second occupant, also a 21 year old, was arrested also for possession of marijuana with intent to sell. Case investigated by Officer Degenstein.

#005 DUI Arrest
Officers Calvin and Macciola were dispatched to the 4300 block of Porter Street to a report of a vehicle collision. The reporting party said her neighbor crashed into her parked car and appeared to possibly be intoxicated. Officers arrived on scene and contacted the 42 year old woman driver. After conducting field sobriety tests, she was arrested for driving while under the influence. Case investigated by Officer Calvin.

#006 DUI Arrest
Officers Tran and Trzewieczynski were dispatched to the 7-11 Decoto to a report of a vehicle stopped in the driveway. The engine was running and two men appeared unconscious. Both police and fire were dispatched. Upon their arrival and investigation, the men, both 42 years old, were contacted. A records check revealed one of the men was wanted for three separate warrants out (one which included DUI) of Hawthorne, California. He was arrested for the three warrants as well as for driving while under the influence. Case investigated by Officer Tran.

#007 Public Intoxication Arrest
At 4:39 a.m., Officers Trzewieczynski and Ramirez were dispatched to the 36000 block of Cabrillo Drive to an ascertain the problem call. The reporting party advised that a man showed up at his front door and advised he was just kidnapped. Officers arrived on scene and met with the 25 year old male. After some investigation, the man acknowledged he was, in fact, lying about any kidnapping. He was extremely intoxicated and acknowledged he parked his vehicle somewhere in the neighborhood. The 25 year old Newark resident was arrested for being drunk in public. Case investigated by Officer Trzewieczynski.

#023 Robbery
A victim reported that a male juvenile robbed him of his bicycle while at the Hub.  The victim said that the suspect kept reaching into his waistband as if he had a weapon, but no firearm was seen.  The suspect was last seen fleeing westbound on Mowry.  Case investigated by Officer DeStefano.

#025 Vandalism Arrest
Officer Gentry was dispatched to an in-progress graffiti incident in the area of Paseo and Isherwood.  Officer Gentry located the suspect and guided Officer Perry’s UAV (drone) to the location.  A 31 year old man was detained and the case will be sent over for charging after assessing damage with the city graffiti abatement team.

#027 Robbery
At 7:50 p.m., a male victim was robbed at gunpoint while on a walk traveling eastbound on the north side of Lake Arrowhead Ave near Clear Lake Street.  Three suspects robbed the victim at gunpoint of his cell phone.  Based on video surveillance, it’s believed they drove into the area to commit the crime.  Officers and dispatchers were able to ping the phone to an area in Union City with a 1 1/2 mile radius and then there was no further activation.  Suspects were not located.  Case investigated by CSI Wilson.

#024 Prowling Arrest
Officers were dispatched to a report of a possible prowler on Ambar Place. The reporting party advised a subject was simply standing in the reporting party's backyard. K9 Officer Macciola was the first unit on scene and made contact with a 60 year old adult male, who complied with verbal commands and was detained without incident. The man was arrested for prowling.

#030 Public Intoxication, Battery and Possession of a Controlled Substance Arrest
At 9:38 p.m., officers were dispatched to a report of a battery in progress at the Shell Gas station on Auto Mall Parkway. Multiple callers advised that a man was fighting with transient subjects. The man was also balling up his fists at passing customers. The 25 year old man was contacted and arrested for public intoxication, battery, and possession of a controlled substance. Case investigated by K9 Officer Macciola.  

#004 Possession of Known Stolen Properyt Arrest
At 4:21 a.m., reporting party advised he was watching live video surveillance of a suspect attempting to disable their video camera, then accessing the reporting party's work trucks parked on PG&E property near Auto Mall Road/ Fremont Boulevard. Several officers immediately responded to the area. Officer Macciola observed a white van pulling out near the adjacent Extreme Pita restaurant and conducted a traffic enforcement stop. A 30 year old man was detained. The reporting party arrived on scene and positively identified the man, who was also wearing a work jacket belonging to the PGE. Loss was recovered and returned. The suspect was arrested and charged with possession of known stolen property.   Case investigated by Officer Maniego.
