Press Release
Details: On Friday, March 22, 2019 at approximately 4:58 PM, Corcoran Police Officers responded to the 2700 block of Olympic Avenue for a report of shots fired. Upon arriving to the area, Officers were waved down by subjects standing in a driveway. These subjects advised a red sedan had pulled up in front of the residence and two subjects stepped out with firearms and began shooting at them. Multiple rounds of gunfire were shot and struck the front and side of the residence which was occupied by additional residents. It was determined none of the victims were struck by the gunfire. Officers subsequently located and collected evidence at the scene. Officers later located a red sedan, which is suspected of being involved in the shooting, in the 25000 block of 7th Avenue. This vehicle was unoccupied when officers located it. Officers seized this vehicle in order to process it for evidence. A short while later, Officers were called to an apartment in the 900 block of 6 ½ Avenue which was also struck by gunfire. Nobody was injured at the apartment which was also occupied at the time. Officers determined that stray rounds from the shooting on Olympic Avenue had struck and damaged the apartment on 6 ½ Avenue.
