* WHAT...Heavy snow above 8500 feet. Total snow accumulations of 8
to 16 inches with locally higher amounts expected.

* WHERE...Southwest San Juan Mountains, including the cities of Silverton and Rico.

* WHEN...From 6 AM Thursday through 6 AM MDT Friday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Travel will become very difficult
especially over mountain passes.
