Agnes Handley, the 74 year old female driver of the 2013 Toyota minivan involved in this accident, has died from injuries received during the crash. The Amarillo Police Department Traffic Investigation Unit continues their investigation.

On March 13, 2019 at 1:09 PM, APD officers were dispatched to North Western Street and Hastings Avenue on a motor vehicle collision. A 2013 Toyota minivan, driven by a 74 year old female, had been westbound on Hastings turning southbound onto north Western. A 2016 Land Rover SUV, driven by a 17 year old male, was northbound on Western. The Land Rover struck the Toyota. Both drivers and a juvenile passenger in the Land Rover were taken to a local area hospital with life threatening injuries. Speed is a factor in this collision. The incident is being investigated by the Traffic Investigation Squad of the Amarillo Police Department.
