| Narrative: |
On March 16, 2019, at about 11:54 pm, the Thousand Oaks Police Department and the Ventura County Fire Department responded to a single vehicle traffic collision at Erbes Rd. and Westland Ave. The driver suffered serious injuries and was transported by ambulance to a local hospital. The passenger suffered major injuries and was also transported by ambulance to a local hospital where she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased.
The driver was traveling north on Erbes Rd. approaching Westland Ave. when his vehicle collided with a tree and then overturned. The identity of the passenger is pending notification of next of kin by the Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The collision is still under investigation by the Thousand Oaks Police Traffic Bureau. Anyone who might have witnessed the collision is asked to contact Sr. Deputy Dan Ambarian at (805) 494-8245.
