Narrative:
A quick response by Sheriff’s deputies led to the arrest of three juveniles for carjacking and assault with a deadly weapon.

At about 12:51 AM on 3/15/19, the Ventura County Sheriff’s Communication Center received a 911 call from a male victim who reported that he had been stabbed by suspects who stole his car in the area of Steckel Park, in the unincorporated area north of the City of Santa Paula.

Within minutes, deputies from the Fillmore and Headquarters Patrol Stations responded to the area and located the victims’ vehicle, a green Mazda sedan, traveling away from Steckel Park (southbound) on Ojai / Santa Paula Road (Hwy 150).

Deputies made an enforcement stop on the vehicle and contacted the occupants, one male juvenile and two female juveniles.  At that time, deputies located evidence related to the crime inside the car in plain view.  Further investigation determined that the three juveniles conspired to steal the victim’s car.

The two female juveniles were arrested and lodged at Juvenile Hall for carjacking and conspiracy to commit a crime.  The male juvenile was arrested and lodged at Juvenile Hall for assault with a deadly weapon, carjacking and conspiracy to commit a crime.

The victim was transported to the Ventura County Medical Center (VCMC), where he was treated and released for non-life threatening injuries.
