Traffic Advisory

The 69^th Annual Miller Place-Rocky Point St. Patrick’s Day Parade will be held on Sunday, March 17 starting at 1 p.m. The Suffolk County Police Department’s Seventh Precinct is advising motorists of road closures in the area between approximately 12 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Route 25A between Miller Place Road in Miller Place to just east of Broadway Avenue in Rocky Point will be closed to vehicular traffic starting at noon.

Parking will be prohibited along the parade route and all traffic will be diverted to side streets. Police request that spectators do not interfere with the flow of the parade.

In addition to regulating traffic, the police department will be enforcing Brookhaven Town ordinances and state laws regarding the sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages. Violations may result in a fine of up to $250 or up to 15 days in jail.

Motorists are advised to use alternate routes.
