Registration for Special “High School Seniors only” self-defense class.
The Marietta Police Department is dedicated to protecting its citizens in every way possible. An important part of our mission is educating the public. One of the courses we offer is “Rape Aggression Defense” (RAD). RAD is a simple yet effective self-defense course for women. The techniques taught are designed to be quick and effective in delivering pain to vulnerable locations on the attacker’s body. The course is designed so that women of all fitness levels will learn options to escape attacks. The RAD course is taught in (4) individual three-hour classes. Participation in all (4) classes is necessary to complete the course.
R.A.D. is $10. THESE COURSE DATES ARE ONLY OPEN TO HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS. Parents will need to attend the first hour to complete the paperwork if the student is under the age of 18. The course will take place at the Marietta Police Department April 8th, 10th, 15th, and 17th from 6pm to 9pm.
