Coastal Flood Advisory until 06:00PM
Elevated swells with long periods will impact the Middle Texas coast this afternoon. Tide levels are running around 1.25 feet above expected early this morning. Even with north to northeast winds occurring along the coast, tide levels are expected to reach 2 feet mean sea level around the time of high tide this afternoon. The National Weather Service in Corpus Christi has issued a Coastal Flood Advisory, which is in effect from noon today to 6 PM CDT this evening.
* COASTAL FLOODING...Tides are expected to reach 2.0 feet above Mean Sea Level around the period of high tide this afternoon. High tide at Bob Hall Pier is at 2:04 PM today. High tide at Port Aransas Jetty is at 4:51 PM today.
* TIMING...Coastal Flood Advisory noon through 6 PM this evening.
* IMPACTS...Driving conditions may be adversely impacted as water reaches the dunes, especially during high tide cycle. Some beach access roads may become impassible, and some beaches will remain closed.
* AFFECTED AREAS: KLEBERG ISLANDS ... NUECES ISLANDS

A Coastal Flood Advisory indicates that onshore winds and tides will combine to generate flooding of low areas along the shore.
