This weekend is St. Patricks Day. Be sure to celebrate with a designated driver as the Fairfield Police Department will be increasing our DUI enforcement efforts over the weekend. Teams of specially trained officers will be working the streets in an effort to increase traffic safety by decreasing the number of impaired drivers on the roadways.
Officers are trained in the detection of alcohol and drug impaired driving. Impaired drivers represent a great risk to the safety of the motoring public and pedestrians alike. Future holidays will also see an increased presence of trained DUI cars in the hopes of reducing injury collisions.
Enjoy the holidays and drink responsibly. If you are going out to celebrate, be sure to have a disignated driver with you or use a commercial service to get home safely.
