Auto Burglary Arrests
Three Contra Costa men were arrested last week shortly after committing an auto burglary in Greenbrae.
On Wednesday, March 5th just after 10:00 p.m., Central Marin Police received a report of an auto burglary that had just occurred in the Bon Air Center parking lot. A witness saw two suspects smash the windows of a Honda and take items from the car. The witness said the suspects left the area in a grey Ford Taurus.
Within a few minutes, an officer found the suspect vehicle and three suspects in the parking lot of The Village at Corte Madera. Broken glass and backpacks belonging to the Bon Air victims were found in the back seat of the Taurus. Additional property stolen in an earlier San Rafael auto burglary was also recovered.
Anthony Terry, age 28, from Antioch; Kelvin Wilkerson, age 35, and Desmond Harris, age 30, both of Richmond, were taken into custody without incident. Terry was found to be on active Federal probation and Wilkerson was on active Post-Release Community Supervision in Contra Costa County. All three were booked at Marin County Jail on charges of auto burglary, conspiracy, possession of stolen property, and possession of burglary tools. Bail was set at $50,000.
