*ARREST MADE* VICTIMS SOUGHT AFTER #LASD SVB ARREST CHURCH VOLUNTEER FOR UNLAWFUL SEX AND ORAL COPULATION OF A MINOR

On Thursday, February 21, 2019, an 18 year-old female reported she was in a sexual relationship with a family friend, Chee Lim Chook (pictured), who was a volunteer at River of Life Community Church in Diamond Bar. 
 
These incidents took place when the victim was just 16 years old and a member of the church.  The victim stated that the suspect would have sex with her at the church as well as provide her with pornography to watch.
 
Less than two weeks from the reported incidents, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD), Special Victim’s Bureau detectives arrested 55 year-old Chee Lim Chook, an Asian male and resident of Rosemead, for unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor and oral copulation of a minor.
 
On Wednesday, March 6, 2019, the Pomona District Attorney’s Office filed seven felony and one misdemeanor charge against the suspect:
 
Two charges of Oral Copulation with a minor (288a (b)(1) P) Felony
Two charges of Digital Penetration of a Minor (289 (h) PC) Felony
Unlawful Sexual Intercourse with a minor (261.5 (c) PC) Felony
Two charges of Sending Harmful Matter to a Minor (288.2 (a)(2) PC)  Felony
Annoy or Molest a Minor, 647.6(a)(1) PC. Misdemeanor
 
Suspect Chook was arrested at his home and booked at Walnut/Diamond Bar Sheriff’s Station for the indicated charges.  He is currently incarcerated and being held in lieu of $140,000 bail.  His next scheduled court date is Monday, March 25, 2019, at Pomona Court.
