The following is a synopsis of crimes reported for the week of March 03 thru March 09, 2019
 
March 03, 2019

• Narcotics Arrest:  Deputies responded to the 2300 block of Bloomdale Street regarding a call of a possible mentally ill person threatening to hurt his family.  Deputies contacted the male and detained him without incident. During the investigation, the male was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and a glass pipe used for ingesting methamphetamine.  The male was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and possession of narcotic paraphernalia.  

• Narcotics Arrest:  Deputies responded to 1420 Huntington Drive (T-Shirt Depot) regarding transients hanging out behind the business.  Deputies contacted an adult female laying on the ground by the rear doors of the business.  During the investigation, the female was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and was arrested.  She was also warned and advised regarding trespassing.   

• No significant activity.         

• A Petty Theft was reported at 1050 Huntington Drive (Target).  An adult female was observed by store security concealing a curling iron, skin care products and earrings.  When she failed to pay for the items, she was detained by store security. After further investigation by responding deputies, the female was arrested for Petty Theft.  The $123 of stolen merchandise was returned to the store.  

• No significant activity.    

• A Petty Theft was reported at 1050 Huntington Drive (Target).  An adult female was observed by store security concealing a $129 toothbrush.  When she failed to pay for the item, she was detained by store security.  After further investigation by responding deputies, the female was arrested for Shoplifting.     

• A Vehicle Burglary was reported at 1327 Huntington Drive (99 Cent Store). Between 1:00 pm and 1:15 pm, a bag containing approximately $80 was stolen from a vehicle, while the victim was shopping.  Entry was made into the vehicle by shattering a window with an unknown object. 

• A Grand Theft Vehicle was reported in the 2000 block of ivory Drive.  Sometime between 2:00 pm on March 7th and 12:00 pm on March 8^th, person’s unknown stole a 2007 Honda Civic from the street.  

• A Petty Theft was reported at 1050 Huntington Drive (Target).  While conducting an inventory check, there appeared to be a discrepancy in the number of “Dyson” fans.  After reviewing surveillance video, an adult male was observed selecting a fan, removing the security sensor and placing it in a shopping cart with other miscellaneous items.  The male entered the self-check-out isle and paid for the miscellaneous items, but not the fan.  The same male was also observed on surveillance the day before stealing another “Dyson” fan in the same manner.  The loss was estimated at $700.        

• A Grand Theft was reported in the 2600 block of Fernley Drive.  Sometime between 10:00 pm on March 8^thand 1:00 pm on March 9^th, persons unknown stole the catalytic converter from the victim’s vehicle.
