Deputies locate two handguns and multiple live ammunition rounds in a vehicle of a convicted felon who's on parole

LOCATION: 6th Street & A Street, Victorville
SUSPECT(S): Jesus Hernandez, 31-year old Apple Valley resident
SUMMARY:
On March 10, 2019, deputies from the Victorville Police Department conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle code violation, at 6th and A Streets.
The driver, identified as Jesus Hernandez, was found to be on parole with an active warrant for his arrest. Deputies conducted a search of his vehicle and discovered two handguns, and multiple live ammunition rounds inside.
Hernandez was arrested and booked at High Desert Detention Center for felon in possession of a firearm, prohibited person in possession of ammunition, and felony parole violation. He is scheduled to appear in Victorville Superior Court on March 12, 2019.
