* WHAT...Moderate to heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 8 to 16 inches expected. Higher snow amounts possible over south and southwestern facing slopes. Lulls will occur from time to time.
* WHERE...Southwest San Juan Mountains to include US-550, CO-145, Coal Bank and Molas Passes.Southwest San Juan Mountains- Including the cities of Silverton, Rico, and Hesperus
* WHEN...From 6 AM Monday to 6 PM MDT Tuesday.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Roads will become snowy, icy, and slushy. Travel could be very difficult to impossible at times. New snowfall will also keep the avalanche threat high.
EXPECT RED MOUNTAIN PASS Between Silverton and Ouray to have an extensive multi day closure due to avalanche debris removal
