Two juveniles are arrested for carjacking; the handgun used is located in the stolen vehicle

SUSPECTS: 16-year-old male juvenile resident of Fontana and 17-year-old male juvenile resident of Victorville
VICTIM: Confidential
SUMMARY: On Saturday, March 9, 2019, at approximately 10:30 p.m., two male juveniles approached the victim as he parked his vehicle in the 9000 block of Beech Avenue, Fontana. One of the juveniles pointed a silver revolver handgun at the victim and demanded his wallet and the keys to the vehicle. In fear for his life, the victim ran and quickly dialed 9-1-1. After the victim fled, the two juveniles stole the victim's vehicle and rapidly drove away north on Beech Avenue.
Deputies from the Fontana Sheriff's Station arrived and conducted an extensive area check for the suspects and the stolen vehicle. Within a short time, deputies located the two juveniles driving the victim's stolen vehicle near Cherry Avenue and Randall Avenue, Fontana. The juveniles were subsequently taken into custody and the handgun used in the carjacking was located during a search of the stolen vehicle. The victim's vehicle was returned, and the two juveniles were transported to Juvenile Hall and booked for Penal Code 215 Carjacking.
