After following up on information that 27-year-old Victor Garcia-Lopez and 17-year-old Hector Aguilar were selling illegal drugs out of their Cordillo Courts, Hilton Head Island apartment, Sheriff’s Office investigators met with a Beaufort County magistrate and obtained warrants for their arrest and to search their apartment.

This morning, when investigators arrived at Cordillo Courts to serve the search warrant, they observed Garcia-Lopez leaving in a vehicle and took him into custody on warrants they had obtained for his arrest for five counts of Sale and Distribution of Cocaine and five counts of Sale and Distribution of Cocaine within a ½ mile of a School. At around the same time, investigators located Aguilar at his place of employment and arrested him on warrants for one count of Sale and Distribution of Cocaine and one count of Sale and Distribution of Cocaine within ½ Mile of a School.
 
With Victor Garcia-Lopez and Hector Aguilar in custody, investigators search their Cordillo Courts apartment. During the search warrant, investigators seized several items used to package cocaine and other illicit drugs for distribution. Following the search of their apartment, Garcia-Lopez and Aguilar were transported to the Beaufort County Detention Center and incarcerated. As of the time of this advisory, Garcia-Lopez and Aguilar had yet to receive bond hearings and remained incarcerated.
