We would like to invite the community to participate in the upcoming Community Budget Meetings. The primary goal of these meetings is to seek community input as we begin to develop the FY 2019-20 City Budget. These meetings are scheduled for:
• Tuesday, March 12th - 7:00 pm at the Izaak Walton League Log Cabin
• Wednesday, March 13th: 6:00pm at Madison Elementary School
• Wednesday, March 20th - 6:30pm at Thorpe Elementary School
• Tuesday, March 26th - 6:00pm at the Newhope Library
• Thursday, March 28th - 7:00pm at the Police Community Room
Topics to be covered include:
• Overview of the City’s budget development and process
• Fiscal Year 2018-19 Budget and Financial Update
• The City’s Five-Year Strategic Plan
• Fiscal Year 2018-19 Capital Improvement Program (CIP)
This is an excellent opportunity for the community to learn about the City’s budget, be involved in the budget process, ask questions regarding the City’s financial position and to provide input.
