City of Alameda - Non-Emergency Advisory

Alameda Police Set To Participate in Rapid Response Training Exercises

As part of our ongoing commitment to keep our community safe, the Alameda Police Department (APD), Alameda Fire Department (AFD), and the U.S. Navy, will be conducting training exercises on March 7, 2019, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

In an effort to adequately prepare for potential catastrophic events, APD, AFD, and the Navy will engage in realistic scenarios that may produce sounds from mild explosions, simulated gunfire, and/or yelling in and around the 2100 block of Clement Avenue. Several safety measures have been implemented to mitigate the risk to property, the public, and participants. Signs will be posted to designate training areas.
