INCIDENT: Assault with a Deadly Weapon
LOCATION: 7th Street and La Paz Drive, Victorville
SUSPECT: Keseandre Wooten, 29-year old Victorville resident
VICTIM: 40-year old male, Lucerne Valley resident
SUMMARY: On March 5, 2019, deputies from the Victorville Police Department responded to the area of 7th Street and La Paz Drive in Victorville, for a reported stabbing.
The 40-year old male victim was walking on 7th Street, where he encountered the suspect, Keseandre Wooten. For unknown reasons, the two became involved in an altercation that resulted in Wooten stabbing the victim once in the upper torso. After the stabbing Wooten left the scene on foot. Deputy M. Forsberg located Wooten in the 16200 block of Hughes Road. He was detained, and the knife used in the incident was recovered.
The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Wooten, a convicted felon on probation, was arrested and booked at High Desert Detention Center for assault with a deadly weapon and violating parole.
