Narrative:
 
On 11/23/2018, an unknown male subject entered the Medicine Shoppe located at 2173 Pickwick Drive in the city of Camarillo and attempted to pass a forged prescription for Oxycodone pills. The unidentified male subject has been filling forged Oxycodone prescriptions at this same location since 2017. As soon as the pharmacy learned the prescriptions were fraudulent, they alerted law enforcement.  The unidentified male subject is described as a White male, in his 30’s, approximately 5’5” to 5’9” tall, with dirty blonde or reddish hair and blue eyes. The suspect also appears to have a tattoo on his right hand near his thumb.  Refer to attached photo.

The Ventura County Interagency Pharmaceutical Crimes Unit is a task force made up of members from the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office, Thousand Oaks Police Department, the Simi Valley Police Department, and the Ventura Police Department. The primary mission of the task force is combatting the transfer of legal prescription medication to the illegal market. In addition, the task force works to identify and stop new trends of abuse among the younger population and investigates overdoses due to both prescription medication and illicit drug use.
