This is a message from the Fairfield Office of Emergency Management. In anticipation of the impending snow storm, Mayor James Gasparini has declared a state of emergency to be in effect beginning on March 3, 2019 at 8:00 PM and continuing until such time it is determined that conditions allow it to be rescinded.
Citizens are encouraged to avoid traveling on any roadways during the storm and during snow removal operations. It is unlawful to park any vehicle on any roadway during this state of emergency. It is also unlawful to push, blow or plow snow onto any township, county or state roadway.
The Fairfield Office of Emergency Management will continue to monitor conditions in the township throughout the duration of the storm and will provide updates as necessary.
