STAMFORD: SNOW EMERGENCY DECLARED
A snow emergency has been declared, effective Midnight tonight because of the snowstorm expected to impact the City of Stamford. The Snow Emergency will require the removal of all vehicles on designated snow emergency streets by midnight tonight to allow Operation crews to treat and clear city roads.
Snow Emergency Routes are clearly marked with red and white signage. Vehicles will be ticketed and towed while the snow emergency is in effect. All City Garages will be open and free to residents during the Snow Emergency, from midnight tonight Sunday March 3, 2019 until Tuesday March 5, 2019 at 8:00 am.
Stamford Schools are closed tomorrow. Garbage and recycling collection will be cancelled. Please do not put garbage toters out until the storm concludes to prevent them from blowing into the road. The Katrina Mygatt Recycling Center will also be closed.
