Suffolk County Police First Squad detectives are investigating a hit-and-run crash that seriously injured a man in West Babylon early this morning.
 
First Precinct officers responded to a 911 report of an injured man lying in the roadway in front of 358 Little East Neck Road at approximately 1:40 a.m. Evidence at the scene indicated the man had been struck by a motor vehicle. The victim, who has not yet been identified by police, was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip with non-life-threatening injuries.
 
The investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone with information on the incident to call the First Squad at 631-854-8152 or anonymously to at Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
