Flat Tire Ruse Bank Follow Suspects Arrested

Torrance Police Detectives investigated two separate cases that occurred in mid-February which involved victims being followed from banks, being distracted by a suspect who flattened their tire, and having their money stolen from their vehicle.

Torrance Police Investigators conducted surveillance and collaborated with the Glendale Police Department as well as other agencies in the South Bay in order to identify these suspects.  On Monday, February 25, 2019, Investigators arrested (3) three suspects and recovered over $80,000.00 of suspected stolen money.  The Torrance Police Department believes these individuals are responsible for multiple crimes within Southern California and other states.

The Torrance Police Department is grateful for another opportunity to collaborate with neighboring Law Enforcement Agencies resulting in the apprehension of those involved in criminal activity.  The Torrance Police Department continues to encourage the reporting of all suspicious activity.  "See Something, Say Something.”
