Marietta Police Department Semiannual Citizens Police Academy April 25, 2019
  
The Marietta Police Department Citizens Police Academy will begin April 25, 2019. This program provides citizens of Marietta with an opportunity to experience and take an in-depth look at what it is like to be a police officer.
 
During the program, participants will get an overview of various units within the police department and learn about multiple topics such as: Crime Analysis, Narcotics, Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT), Crime Interdiction Unit, Investigative Services, Traffic Enforcement, Community Response Unit, K-9 Unit, Crime Scene Processing, and much more.
 
The 10 week program is FREE of charge and is scheduled to begin on April 25, 2019. Classes will be held every Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Marietta Police Department for 10 weeks.
 
The Academy is open to residents, and business or property owners of the City of Marietta pending a background check.  Applications are available at the front desk of the Marietta Police Department (240 Lemon Street), or online at https://www.mariettaga.gov.
