The latest River forecast indicates flood waters have crested.
The latest River forecast continues to indicate new levels at Savannah, and that the flood waters have crested.
The level was indicating 394.98ft at 10:15am 2/26. However, this does mean sustained high levels of water as they finally begin to recede. Water levels are targeted to drop around 4 Feet by Friday, allowing traffic to flow on some Highway sections currently closed.
Please be careful and make wise decisions. Spectator vehicle traffic is creating hazardous situations. And keep 911 calls as true emergencies, and use the non-emergency line 731-925-9007 for routine calls for assistance. Please help us keep everyone safe.
