                Deputy Steven McPeters of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged Casey Carlton Whitesides, 28, address listed as Mooresboro, with possession of a stolen motor vehicle.
                On Sunday, Jan. 27, Chuck Lamaster, address listed as Gaffney, S.C., reported that someone was trying to steal a 2016 Freightliner mixing truck from property on Vein Mountain Road.
                Deputies McPeters and Mike Fox arrived on the scene and spotted a suspect jump from the truck and run. McPeters tracked the man, identified as Whitesides, into the woods and arrested him.
