Update on Stabbing Investigation at James Logan High School

UCPD Case # 190222008 Crime: 664/187PC Arrest: James Logan High School
February, 22, 2018, at approximately 1035 hours, two juvenile students were stabbed in the 400 wing on the James Logan High School campus.  One juvenile suffered a serious puncture to the lower abdomen and the other suffered minor injuries.  Officers arrived on-scene and treated the wounded juvenile until relieved by EMS.  The injured juvenile was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment and he is in stable condition at this time.
During the initial investigation, the school was placed on lock-down and the facility was cleared of any other injured parties as officers searched for the suspect.  Within a few hours, Detectives located and arrested the juvenile suspect at a grocery store in Hayward (Mexico Super).  The juvenile suspect was arrested and charges are being sought for attempted murder. No other suspects are involved. 

This case is being actively investigated by Union City Police Department detectives and a motive for the stabbing has yet to be determined.
