Full Notification

The Big Cabin Police Department requested the OSBI to conduct a full investigation into the assault of Kevin Smith which occurred in the evening of February 20, 2019 at 147 West Main in Big Cabin, Oklahoma. Smith, an adult male, was life-flighted to a hospital in Tulsa where he remains a patient. Smith identified his attacker as Erik Goins, 40, of Vinita, Oklahoma. Goins was located by the OSBI in Chelsea, Oklahoma and was arrested around 3 a.m. this morning. He is charged with Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon and was booked into the Craig County Jail. The Big Cabin Police Department, Rogers County Sheriff's Office, Craig County Sheriff's Office, Chelsea Police Department and Vinita Police Department assisted in the investigation.
