Live Fire Testing of ShotSpotter Gunshot Detection System is tonight Thursday February 21, 2019. The testing will begin at approximately 6:30pm and last for approximately 2 hours. The testing will be conducted at 4 separate locations within the City of Pleasantville and consist of multiple shots being fired from several different firearms at each location. This test firing will be conducted by members of the PPD Firearms Training Unit in conjunction with ShotSpotter staff. The projectiles will be fired into pre made bullet traps and will not present a hazard to the public. We will continue to put out the pre event notice out until the beginning of the testing and a message will be sent out as we begin and end the testing.
