Wilmington Police make arrest after observing drug transactions 
Members of the Wilmington Police Department Street Crimes Unit conducting surveillance in the area of 4th and Delamore made an arrest after observing several hand-to-hand drug transactions.
Police were in the area on February 20 at approximately 8:20 a.m. when they observed 27-year-old Chie Smyre engaged in several hand-to-hand drug transactions. Smyre was taken into custody without incident, and police recovered 55 vials of crack cocaine, a bag of crack cocaine, and $337 in currency.
Smyre has been charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (of a Tier 1 quantity) with intent to distribute.
She was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and released on $30,000 unsecured bail.
