2PM Wednesday Winter Weather Impact Report - 21 crashes
2PM Wednesday Winter Weather Impact Report
The snow which started around 11am has been intermittent in intensity over the past three hours. Snow plow crews are out making steady progress clearing the roadways. All municipal offices, including the Senior Center closed at 1pm. The South Brunswick Public Library is also now closed.
FORECAST
Wednesday Afternoon Update...Snow has already overspread the region, with some locales experiencing moderate-to-heavy bursts of snow. We still remain on track for 2 - 4" of snow/sleet accumulations prior to the change to rain by the early evening. Accumulations will be much denser than normal due to the abundance of ice pellets / sleet during the changeover, making for a more challenging treatment/removal process. During the change to rain, we will likely be at or just below 32 degrees, so a coating of ice is likely.
