GTPD Media Advisory: Nighttime Condominium Fire Displaces One Family
On Tuesday February 19th at approximately 7:02PM the Gloucester Township Police Department responded to the 1600 block of Broadacres Drive Blackwood, NJ 08012 (Huntington Mews Condominiums) for a report of smoke coming from a condominium. Upon officers arrival, the interior of the condominium was fully engulfed with flames and heavy smoke.
Fire departments responded from Blackwood, Chews Landing, Blenheim, Glendora, Erial, Lambs Terrace, Pine Hill, Lindenwold, Bellmawr and Deptford. A short time later the fire was placed under control.
EMS also responded to the scene. There were no reported injuries.
One family was displaced as a result of the fire.
This fire is under investigation by the Blackwood Fire Marshal and the Camden County Fire Marshal's Office.
