*UPDATE* #LASD Homicide Detectives Responded to Shooting Death Invst., 5900 blk Flora Avenue, Maywood
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau Detectives are continuing their investigation in the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a male Hispanic adult and another male Hispanic that was wounded during the incident.
The incident occurred on Monday, February 18, 2019, at approximately 3:35 p.m.
Deputies from East LA Sheriff’s Station responded to the location regarding an assault with a deadly weapon call.
The call indicated several shots were heard and there was one victim down on the ground.
Upon arrival, Deputies observed Los Angeles County Fire paramedics on scene rendering aid to Victim #1. Victim #1 was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.
A short time later, deputies were notified of a second gunshot victim reported at a nearby hospital.
The deceased victim sustained at least one gunshot wound to the upper torso. The second victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the upper torso. He is in stable condition and is expected to survive.
There is no additional information at this time and the investigation is ongoing.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau detectives are responding to the 5900 block of Flora Avenue, Maywood, to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a male adult and the wounding of another male adult.
Both victims were transported to local hospitals where one was pronounced dead and the other remains in unknown condition.
The investigation is ongoing and there is no additional information available at this time.
