On February 17, 2019, about 4:00 a.m., a residential burglary occurred on the 8200 block of Chiesa Dr. The suspect, Timothy Ruiz, 19, made entry into the through an open side door leading into the garage. Ruiz stole multiple items and fled the residence. Officers located Ruiz a few blocks away, and he was in possession of the victim's property.
Through further investigation, it was learned that Ruiz was also responsible for a residential burglary that occurred on Aspen Way the night before. In that case, Ruiz entered the victim's residence and stole numerous electronic items. Ruiz was arrested for both crimes and booked into County Jail.
