NWS-GSP has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Eastern McDowell County from 6PM Tuesday to 4PM Wednesday. This includes Marion, Nebo, Dysartsville, Fero and Glenwood.
Freezing rain expected. Total ice accumulations of one-
tenth to two-tenths of an inch are expected, with a few
hundreths of an inch of ice expected across the southern
foothills. Winds may gust as high as 35 mph at times, mainly
along the higher ridge tops in the mountains.
From 6 PM Tuesday to 4 PM EST Wednesday. The
precipitation may begin as a mix of sleet and freezing rain late
Tuesday before transitioning over to all freezing rain the rest
of Tuesday night through Wednesday morning.
