Homicide Detectives investigate the shooting death of a 27 year old Highland man

VICTIM: Marty Palmer, age 27, resident of Highland
SUSPECT: Unknown
SUMMARY:
On Friday, February 15, 2019, at approximately 12:15 am., deputies from the Highland Sheriff’s Station responded to 26351 E. Baseline Street, Highland regarding a reported assault with a deadly weapon inside the residence. Upon arrival, deputies located one male subject, later identified as Marty Palmer, injured from an apparent gunshot wound. Palmer was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Detectives from the Specialized Investigations Division, Homicide Detail responded to the scene and conducted an investigation. The investigation is ongoing; no additional information is being released at this time. Updates will be issued as new information becomes available for release. The motive is not known at this time.
