He has been charged with carrying a concealed deadly weapon and three charges related to possession of a firearm by a person prohibited. He was arraigned on those charges and committed to the New Castle County Detention Center on $50,000 cash-only bail.

Additionally, the driver of the vehicle, a 14-year-old male, was charged with receiving stolen property, disregarding a police officer’s signal, reckless driving and driving without a valid license.

Another passenger, a 14-year-old male, was charged with possession of marijuana.

The vehicle, which had been reported stolen from New Castle County, was turned over to the New Castle County Police Department.
