February 4

Recovered Stolen Vehicle – Ganges Ave. and Blake St:
At 8:51 am, an officer reports the recovery of vehicle which was reported stolen to the Oakland Police Department on February 3, 2019.

Stolen Vehicle Report – 7100 block of Potrero Ave:
At 8:55 am, the victim reported that an unknown suspect stole their vehicle. The theft occurred sometime between 8:00 pm on February 3rd to 8:00 am on February 4th.

Commercial Burglary – 700 building El Cerrito Plaza:
At 9:48 am, a Community Service Officer reported that an unknown suspect attempted to make entry into several offices located in the mezzanine of the El Cerrito Plaza. The suspect also sprayed bear repellent under the doors to those offices. Officers contacted a suspicious male wandering in the area, but no arrest was made.

Recovered Stolen Vehicle – Macdonald Ave / Humboldt St:
At 7:45 pm, an officer reports the recovery of a vehicle previously reported stolen to the El Cerrito Police Department earlier that same morning.

Auto Burglary – 11740 San Pablo Ave:
At 8:06 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect broke the window to the victim’s vehicle and ransacked the interior. No loss was reported by the victim.

Auto Burglary – 10636 San Pablo Ave (24 Hour Fitness):
At 9:25 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect broke the window to the victim’s vehicle before being scared off by a passerby. The suspect then entered a dark colored Ford Edge SUV and drove off on San Pablo Avenue.

Vehicle Tampering – 2200 block of Mira Vista Dr:
At 1:28 am, an officer reports an unknown suspect tried the door handles of several vehicles parked in the area and entered one unlocked vehicle.

Domestic Battery – San Pablo Ave / Carlson Blvd:
At 2:04 am, an officer reports the arrest of a 19-year-old male after he was involved in an argument with his girlfriend that became physical. The man was later transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

February 5

Residential Burglary – 10900 block of San Pablo Ave.
At 9:59 am, an officer reported that an unknown suspect entered an apartment, ransacked the interior, and took several identifying documents belonging to the victim and their family members. The burglary occurred between 8:00 am to 8:45 am.

Attempted Stolen Vehicle . – 1400 block of Richmond St.
At 2:27 pm, an officer reports that a Toyota Camry, driven by an unknown male, parked next to the victim’s vehicle, and an unknown suspect got out and went into the victim’s vehicle. The victim’s car alarm sounded, scaring off the suspect.

Robbery – 10367 San Pablo Ave .
At 5:07 pm, an officer reported that the victim was walking down San Pablo Avenue when he was approached by two males who punched and pushed him, knocking the victim to the ground. The suspects ripped off the victim’s backpack and took his shoes. The suspects got into an awaiting white, older model Mercedes SUV with paper plates and fled southbound on San Pablo Avenue.

Residential Burglary – 7300 block of Terrace Dr:
At 8:47 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect removed tools from a shed and then attempted to use the tools to break into the home.

Auto Burglary – Kearney St / Wall Ave:
At 3:44 am, an officer located a vehicle parked on the street that appeared to have been burglarized. The officer made contact with the owner and learned an unknown suspect had broken a window on the vehicle and rummaged through the interior. No loss was reported.

February 6

Arrest for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Drug Paraphernalia – Parking Lot of 1000 El Cerrito Plaza
At 4:05 pm, an officer contacted the occupants of a suspicious vehicle. During a search, the officer arrested a 42-year-old male from Richmond for being in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. The male was released at the scene with a citation.

Auto Burglary – 10264 San Pablo Ave (El Mono):
At 8:44 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect broke the window to the victim’s vehicle and removed property sometime during the evening.

Auto Burglary – 3090 El Cerrito Plaza (Starbucks):
At 9:46 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect broke the window to the victim’s vehicle and removed property sometime during the evening.

Auto Burglary – 11344 San Pablo Ave (Denny’s):
At 10:12 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect broke the window to the victim’s vehicle and removed property while the victim was seated inside his vehicle. The suspect then fled in a silver vehicle.

At 10:36 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect broke the window to the victim’s vehicle and removed property sometime during the evening.

Auto Burglary – 11344 San Pablo Ave (Denny’s):
At 10:47 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect broke the window to the victim’s vehicle and removed property some time during the evening.

Auto Burglary – 8000 El Cerrito Plaza (Romano’s Macaroni Grill):
At 11:29 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect broke the window to the victim’s vehicle some time during the evening, however, no loss was reported.

Auto Burglary – 8000 El Cerrito Plaza (Romano’s Macaroni Grill):
At 11:39 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect broke the window to the victim’s vehicle and removed property some time during the evening.

Auto Burglary – 420 El Cerrito Plaza (Petco)
At 2:47 am, an officer reports an unknown suspect broke the window to the victim’s vehicle and removed property some time during the evening, however, no loss was reported.

February 7

Stolen Vehicle Report – 10900 block of San Pablo Ave.
At 6:27 am, an officer reports that an unknown suspect stole the victim’s vehicle. The theft occurred between 6:30 pm on February 6th to 6:15 am on February 7th.

Attempted Auto Burglary Report – 7900 block of Cutting Blvd.
At 2:07 pm, a Community Service Officer reports that an unknown suspect shattered a window of the victim’s vehicle, rummaged through the interior, but did not steal anything.

Auto Burglary – 7900 block of Cutting Blvd.
At 2:07 pm, an officer reports that an unknown suspect shattered a window to the victim’s vehicle and stole a bag containing miscellaneous clothing.

Auto Burglary – 7900 block Cutting Blvd.
At 2:07 pm, a officer reports that an unknown suspect shattered a window to the victim’s vehicle and stole a bag containing miscellaneous gym clothing.

Strongarm Robbery – 1000 El Cerrito Plaza (Lucky’s):
At 7:53 pm, an officer reports a 51-year-old male transient was confronted by uniformed security for theft. The male physically attacked the security officer causing injury. The male was arrested for robbery, booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and then transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Petty Theft – 11821 San Pablo Ave (McDonald’s):
At 11:53 pm, an officer reports a woman mistakenly left her backpack inside the McDonald’s restaurant where it was stolen by another patron.

February 8

Warrant Arrest – 2000 block of Mira Vista:
At 12:54 am, an officer conducted an enforcement stop on a vehicle and contacted the 21-year-old male driver from Pittsburg who had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. The male was arrested and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Assist to Outside Agency – Madison Ave / San Pablo Ave; Eastshore Blvd / San Pablo Ave:
At 3:49 am, officers located vehicles in two different locations on surface streets which had been involved in a collision on the freeway. One of the drivers exhibited signs of alcoholic beverage intoxication. The California Highway Patrol responded and took over the investigation due to the collision occurring on the freeway.

Auto Burglary – 1200 block of Elm St:
At 5:23 am, an officer reports the victim’s right front passenger window was smashed and property was removed.

Auto Burglary – 6900 Gladys St.:
An officer reported an unknown suspect smashed the right front window of the victim’s parked vehicle and stole property. The burglary occurred between 9:45 pm and 8:00 am.

Theft – 500 block of Oak St.
An officer reported that an unknown suspect stole a package from the porch of a residence sometime during the day on January 28th. The package contained a Santa Claus doll worth $40.

Warrant Arrest – 300 El Cerrito Plaza (JoAnn Fabrics):
At 1:50 pm, an officer contacted a 44-year-old male from Richmond who was wanted on two San Francisco County warrants. He was arrested, booked, and released on a citation.

Strong-arm Robbery – BART Path near Potrero Ave:
At 3:20 pm, officers responded to the report of a robbery. The victim was attacked and knocked to the ground and beaten by three suspects. They stole his backpack containing his computer, phone, and school supplies. They also stole his shoes off his feet. The suspects fled in a gray vehicle.

Auto Burglary – Curry Ave. / Ramona Ave:
An officer reports that an unknown suspect shattered the right front window of the victim’s vehicle and ransacked the interior. Nothing of value was left in the vehicle so there is no known loss.

Auto Burglary – 10750 San Pablo Avenue (Mountain Mike’s Pizza):
An officer responded for the report of an auto burglary that had occurred between 7:00 PM and 8:00 PM. Someone had shattered a window on the vehicle and had ransacked the interior but did not steal anything.

Auto Burglary – 5800 block of El Dorado Avenue:
An officer responded for the report of an auto burglary that had occurred between 9:43 PM and 10:09 PM. Someone had shatterd a window on the vehicle and stole items from inside.

Warrant – San Pablo Avenue / Panama Avenue:
An officer contacted a subject at this location and found they had a warrant for their arrest. They were arrested, booked at the ECPD, and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

February 9

DUI – San Pablo Ave. / Moeser Lane:
An officer arrested a 47-year-old male from San Pablo for DUI during a traffic stop. He was arrested, booked, and released to a friend.

Shoplifting – 11565 San Pablo Avenue (Walgreens):
An officer responded for the report of a shoplifting that just occurred. The suspect was detained a block away and was found to have three warrants for his arrest. He also had narcotics in his pocket. He was arrested, booked, and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Auto Burglary – 6400 block of Conlon Avenue:
An officer responded for the report of an auto burglary that had occurred between 8:00 PM and 8:30 PM. Someone pried open the rear doors of a cargo van and stole tools from inside.

Warrant – 6060 Central Avenue (Nation’s):
An officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop and found the driver had a warrant for their arrest. The officer issued the person a citation and they were released from the scene.

February 10

Warrant x5 – Victor Avenue:
An officer conducted a suspicious vehicle check and found the two people inside had multiple arrest warrants between the two of them. They were both arrested and booked at ECPD. One of the subjects was issued a citation at the ECPD and released, and the other was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

February 11

Grand Theft – 3020 EC Plaza (Sprint):
At 4:08 pm, an officer responded to the report of a theft at Sprint. Three male suspects stole phones and fled on foot.

Criminal Threats – 11450 San Pablo Avenue (Safeway):
An officer responded for the report of someone threatening a security guard telling him he was “going to kill him”. The security guard was scared of the subject and subsequently placed the suspect under citizen’s arrest. The subject was also heavily intoxicated and found to be in violation of his probation status. He was booked at the ECPD and then transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Stolen Vehicle – 6400 Cutting Blvd. (Del Norte BART station):
An officer located a vehicle that had been reported stolen to the Richmond Police Department. The officer contacted the owner and released their vehicle to them at the scene.
