Winter Weather Advisory until 12:00PM Friday

Chances for precipitation will increase after midnight. Precipitation should begin in the far southwest as either rain or freezing rain, and quickly turn to sleet as the precipitation lifts north into west central Kansas. By 5 am, snow is likely to develop over central Kansas counties - bringing as much as two inches north of the Kansas Highway 96 corridor by 10 am. A light glaze of freezing precipitation is possible in most other areas.

* WHAT...Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations of up to two inches and ice accumulations of a light glaze expected.

* WHERE...Portions of central, south central, southwest and west central Kansas.

* WHEN...From 3 AM CST /2 AM MST/ to noon CST /11 AM MST/ Friday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning commute. The greatest impacts will be between 5 and and 9 am.
