According to the US Weather Service San Diego, we are expected to get a couple of inches of rain during this storm. Please be assured that we are monitoring the roadways. In the event of flooding or public safety, we will shut down roads of concern that may include:

Orange Avenue between 6th Street and C Avenue
10th Street at G Avenue
5 Points
Coronado Avenue – Country Club area
1st  Street between A and B Avenues
6th Street and Pomona Avenue
4th Street and Alameda Boulevard

Sandbags (residents only) are located at the following locations: First Street and Alameda Boulevard, Fourth Street and Alameda Boulevard, North Beach, and the Cays near the Fire Station.

If you must drive in the rain, drive slowly, DO NOT DRIVE THROUGH FLOOD WATERS. Six inches of water will reach the bottom of most passenger cars, causing loss of control or possible stalling. Stay away from downed electrical wires or power lines.

For general storm related information, please call 211, NOT 9-1-1. Help us keep our phone lines open for those who need immediate assistance.
