Welfare check nets arrest of Winslow man on battery charge.
On February 13, 2019, at 10:05 a.m. Deputy Zach Lienemann observed two semi tractors pulled to the side of Interstate 69 near the 24 Mile Marker. Upon approaching the drivers to check their welfare Deputy Lienemann learned that a disturbance had just occurred. At that point Deputy Lienemann conducted a roadside investigation. At the end of his investigation Deputy Lienemann placed 52 year old Rodney Hunt of Winslow into custody and transported him to the Gibson County Jail. Upon arriving at the Gibson County Jail Mr. Hunt was charged with Battery. He remains in custody on a $550 bond.
Assisting Deputy Lienemann in his investigation was Sergeant Bruce Vanoven.
All Criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
